Karista invests through its SpaceTech fund, Cosmicapital, in TiHive

In simple words, how is TiHive changing the game in its sector?

Terahertz sensors have existed for years, but TiHive is the only company delivering them in a fully CMOS-based design. This breakthrough brings unmatched advantages in performance, energy efficiency, weight, size, and scalability.
On top of that, TiHive’s software platform unlocks entirely new applications across major industries and markets.
What was the “aha” moment that made you invest?

It came when I saw the first product demonstration and grasped the massive potential of their initial target market. TiHive’s technology platform is versatile and applicable to a wide spectrum of use cases.
As a SpaceTech fund, we are also convinced it can reshape the space economy, from manufacturing to data transmission, rendezvous, and docking.
Next Steps for TiHive :
This new round of funding will support the commercialisation of TiHive’s patented industrial vision solutions to :
- Strengthen its presence in its traditional markets (particularly industrial hygiene) while accelerating the international deployment of its solutions in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Build the world’s largest database dedicated to the quality of absorbent products.
- Accelerate R&D to design a new generation of Terahertz chips with extended frequencies and new advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) features. The goal is to significantly expand the range of materials and products that can be analyzed, addressing specific needs in a variety of sectors, such as technical textiles, composites, agri-food, and recycling..
- Become the world leader in non-destructive quality inspection!
